Hot dog roasts, scavenger hunts, surf lessons and nature walks! These are just a few of the activities available for kids at Pacific Sands. A huge amount of fun for kids (and not a bad break for mom and dad, either)!
Tuesday @ 10:00am - A Nature Walk
Come for a stroll with the Eco-Friendly staff from the Raincoast Interpretive Centre to see what a unique and amazing part of the planet we are in.
Wednesday @ 9:30am - Seaside Symphony
Let's see what kind of instruments we can make from shells, sticks and other beach treasures. Once everyone is done we can have a jam!
Thursday @ 9:30am - Scavenger Hunt
What the the heck are those shell things that are on the rocks? Where could I find a gooseneck barnacle? The answer to these questions and many more are answered on the scanvenger hunt.
Friday @ 9:30am - Go Fly a Kite!
Design your very own high flying kite. This may be a little tricky for the little kids, but some help from mom and dad will ensure take off during the oceanside test flight.
Saturday @ 9:30am to 11:00am - Castles Made of Sand
Pacific Sands Sandcastle Contest... do we need to say more! Good times had by all.
Sunday @ 9:30am - Crafty Creations
All crafts incorporate the elements of the West Coast. There will be coffee on the brew for the grown-ups and enough crafts to keep the kids busy.
Marshmallow and Hot Dog Roast from 6:00-8:00pm
Some things should never change. Come down to the Gazebo to reminisce about the great day by the fire and roast a marshmallow (on the house) or a hot dog ($1). You are never too old to roast marshmallows!
