One of the most popular and cost effective ways of travelling to Vancouver Island and Tofino is by Ferry from either Vancouver or Washington State.

Driving directions from Vancouver via either Horseshoe Bay or Tsawwassen ferry routes are below.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS FROM DOWNTOWN VANCOUVER

1. Head West on Georgia Street, through Stanley Park

2. Cross the Lions Gate Bridge

3. Follow the Upper Levels Highway, 99-1, to Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal total estimated driving time from downtown Vancouver (25 minutes)

4. Travel on the Horseshoe Bay (Vancouver) - Departure Bay (Nanaimo) ferry route it is the most convenient. Please see www.bcferries.com for ferry schedule times.

5. Then follow directions from Nanaimo to Tofino.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS FROM THE VANCOUVER INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (YVR)

1. Look for destination signs leaving the airport terminal and follow Highway 99 South to Highway 17.

2. Follow Highway 17 to the Tsawwassen ferry terminal total estimated driving time: about 25 minutes.

3. Travel from the Tsawwassen - Duke Point (Nanaimo) ferry route is the most convenient.

4. Then follow directions from Nanaimo to Tofino.
