While surfing is a year-round religion in Tofino, September is the official “Surf Month” as peak season waves get bigger, and competitions gear up. The 9th annual Queen of The Peak Women’s Surf Championship weekend is September 28 to 30, and you could win beachfront seats.

According to event co-creator and Surf Sister founder Krissy Montgomery, plenty of new and returning local and international surfers are already committed to coming.
“It’s shaping up to be another stellar weekend event this year,” Krissy declared in her always-infectiously, bubbly way. “There’s going to be over 100 competitors, a complimentary welcome dinner, free childcare, beach massages and lots more fun action in Cox Bay. Can’t wait!”
