FREE Summer Kid's Camps

Pacific Sands Beach Resort and the Raincoast Education Society are excited to offer FREE Kid’s Camps all summer long! A favourite for kids and a welcome break for parents.

Camps run seven days a week in July and August and include rainforest exploration, beach discoveries, survival skills workshops, and hands-on learning inspired by the natural world of British Columbia’s West Coast.

NOTE: Children must be dropped off and picked up by an adult. Kids camp is for ages 6 – 12 years old.

Flying Friends

The sky is full of cool creatures! But birds aren’t just in the sky—some live at sea, others in the trees. You will find out how birds survive cold winters, how they find food and shelter, and then go on your own bird spotting mission.

Intertidal Investigators

The intertidal area of Cox Bay is a real live aquarium just footsteps from your suite. Explore this incredible area when the tide is just right!

Bugs + Slugs

Discover what types of creatures live in the nooks and crannies of the forest, and some tricks to find bugs in the woods.

Rainforest Explorers

Rainforest scavenger hunts and learning the incredible characteristics of a rainforest—from the tallest cedar to the smallest banana slug!

West Coast Survivor

Develop skills to build confidence and cooperate to overcome challenges. Learn about environmental leadership and demonstrate your wilderness skills.

Animal Tracking

Do you know how to tell a wolf and cougar print apart? Learn all about the different animal tracks as you hop and bounce around trying to mimic their gait!

Whale Tales

Play whale games as you learn about the amazing giants of the sea. Learn the differences between baleen and non-baleen whales.
