The Dogs Have Spoken! Honest Reviews from Dog-Friendly Tofino
Hi. I’m Scout. Border Collie. Professional stick retriever and part-time beach patrol. Full-time good boy. My humans recently took me to Pacific Sands, and the whole trip, they kept saying it was the most dog-friendly Tofino resort they’d ever visited.
Naturally, I took that as a challenge. I inspected every piece of driftwood. Tested every rainforest trail. Sampled every treat. Evaluated every beach. I even modelled one of the new Pacific Sands Canada Pooch raincoats my humans bought me because, apparently, I’m “photogenic.”
Then Foxy showed up.

Every good adventure needs someone willing to jump into puddles first. Scout prefers “careful observation.” I prefer cannonballs. But, together, we’re an excellent team.
(Scout says Foxy has the attention span of a tennis ball. Foxy says Scout takes himself way too seriously. They’re probably both right.)
The Rain Test
Scout:
It rained. Excellent. The humans zipped me into my new Canada Pooch raincoat, and I remained perfectly dry while conducting my morning beach rounds.
Foxy:
I found puddles. Lots of puddles. Also, can we talk about my sexy yellow shoes? Scout calls them rain boots… um, boring! The humans call them functional. I call them fabulous.
Either way, my paws stayed dry, and everyone kept telling me how cute I looked. I’d call that a win.

After careful consideration, I can confidently say Pacific Sands has earned its reputation as one of the most dog-friendly Tofino resorts.
The beaches and trails smell incredible. And even rainy days become adventures when you’ve got a waterproof Canada Pooch raincoat.
My humans were pretty pleased too. They found cozy yellow Pacific Sands raincoats waiting in our suite, which meant nobody complained about the awesome West Coast weather.
