Metal Fever with Christy Feaver

If you’re a fan of wearing jewelry, you know the difference between everyday earrings, bracelets and necklaces versus “statement pieces.” As in unique jewelry that complements your personal style and makes a good outfit great. Timeless pieces that get better with age and wear.

But what if you could find jewelry that makes an “everyday statement?” Talented Tofino artist Christy Feaver creates just that with her handcrafted metal collection inspired by love, life, the sea and her travels in the South Pacific.

Sold at retail stores and resorts in Canada, the US and Indonesia, Christy has become widely known for her distinctive yet approachable and affordable designs that reflect her passionate spirit and how she sees the world. Pieces that she says, “Each tell their own story.”

Christy offers two jewelry lines and design styles:

  1. Christy Feaver Modern Metalwork Collections – handmade pieces take on their shape and patina through solder, hammer and forge techniques.
  2. Cast pieces using hand-carved lost wax techniques to create molds that set the metal.

Through her self-titled LOVE approach to wedding rings and bands, she also works with couples to create custom pieces that symbolize their union.

In addition to Christy Feaver Modern Metalwork Gallery in Tofino, Christy calls Bali home part of the year where she has a second gallery called House of Alaia that offers jewelry making and art classes. When you visit the Tofino Gallery, you’ll see Christy brought some Bali home by way of her signature batik fabric designs on pillows, kimonos and comforters.

Art enthusiasts should take note of some Tofino events coming up this month:
