Tofino Beaches Voted #1 in Canada
We’ve always had a feeling the beaches around Tofino were pretty special (wink)… turns out we’re not alone.
The votes are in and Tofino was ranked #1 in Canada in the 2011 Travelers’ Choice Best Beaches Awards on TripAdvisor – the world’s largest travel website for unbiased travel reviews. Award winners were based on the most highly rated beach destinations by travelers.
It’s the first time TripAdvisor has awarded in the Best Beaches category, also naming top spots in the US, Europe, Asia, the South Pacific, Caribbean & Mexico, and Central & South America.
With #1 counter-parts around the world including the beaches of Bora Bora in French Polynesia, Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos Islands and Myrtle Beach in South Carolina… you could say Tofino is in spectacular company.
And we humbly accept and thank the voters!
So next time you’re walking, surfing or exploring Cox Bay, Chesterman, Long Beach or any of Tofino’s (gush) “award-winning” beaches, imagine they’re big, sandy “red carpets”…so to speak.
